Warning about use of Futaba 2.4Ghz FASST 6014FS
Receivers with some PowerBox Systems
Last Revision: 04/28/2008
All Futaba receivers with the exception of the FASST 6014FS RX are compatible with all of the PowerBox Systems manufactured to date. The 6014FS has a changed to a different signal amplitude of 2.5v instead of the traditional 3.5v.All PowerBox Systems manufactured February 1, 2008 and later are fully compatible with the Futaba 6014FS receiver. These compatible units can be identified by a yellow dot on the underside of the unit.
The PowerBox Royal is exempt from this compatibilty advisory, as all Royal units contain the neccesary circuitry to be compatible.
Affected units manufactued prior to February 1, 2008 (Champion, Competition, Evolution, Professional, Expert) can be made compatible by returning for service through Aircraft International or by adding an RRS Module. Units being returned for service by Aircraft International must have been be purchased through Aircraft International. In cases where these units are returned for adjustmant, the adjustments will be performed by PowerBox Systems at no charge, but the customer will be responsible for shipping fees to/from the manufacturer.
